Course Curriculum

This credentialing program is designed for educators (and non-instructional support staff, such as nurses, curriculum specialists, dieticians, speech pathologists, cafeteria workers, resource officers, etc.) and parents/caregivers.

The program is comprised of a total of 17 units spread across 4 modules (see attached diagram). Each unit consists of a 45-minute lecture supplemented by readings, exercises, and a topic-specific quiz.

The overarching goal of this credentialing program is to train educators (and other school staff) and parents/guardians to apply relevant research and educational/parenting strategies to transform the school and home environments in consideration of culture-centered, trauma-informed care. As part of the CRESTS-Achieve Program’s ongoing evaluation procedures, each participant will be required to complete an online pre-test (not to be topic-specific) prior to beginning the CRESTS training.  Each participant must also complete the online post-test (no minimum score required) after completing all required training components in order to receive a program completion certificate.
