In this provocative virtual training event, Dr. Constance West and the CRESTSprogram, LLC team provide an overview of current research on the neuroscience of trauma in Black youth. Dr. West et al. incorporate case studies from their work across settings (e.g., academia, clinical practice, juvenile justice, etc.) to infuse the research findings with real-life examples. Participants will enhance their knowledge about this critical topic and learn about culture-centered, trauma-informed interventions that can be useful to counteract the effects of trauma on Black youth. This webinar is intended to help parents, educators, and mental health professionals to more effectively promote academic excellence and emotional well-being in Black children and adolescents.
